They do provide software? I think it was written by a 3rd party and just
made available, but not supported I would guess. The author of MakeCD wrote
a flashing tool IIRC. Although I've never used it - yet.

I don't remember filling out any registrationm card myself either....?
Maybe one will be in the replacement drive. Their warranty is very good,
they deal direct with the end user and the drive is allowed 50 MONTHS (!!)
from manufacture date (printed on drive top).
